COMBINATION OF RADIOFREQUENCY AND DIODE TECHNOLOGY TO TIGHTEN YOUR SKIN |
| |
|
| |
What is DUFLEX and how does it work? |
| |
DUFLEX is the latest non-ablative in the war on aging and skin related problems. DUFLEX uses dual radio frequency (RF) in combination with a deep penetrating diode laser. DUFLEX is therefore a non-ablative, skin rejuvenation and tightening device that uses dual technology – radio frequency and a diode laser. The combination of these energies is what makes DUFLEX such a unique and effective treatment.
The Duflex System combines bi-polar radio frequency and diode laser to provide improvement to both the overall tone and texture of the skin and to improve tissue laxity. The scientific principle behind the effectiveness of DUFLEX is the ability to allow deep thermal (heat) penetration without damaging healthy tissues and with no deleterious effects on the skin surface. Compared to other non-ablative technologies, it creates just enough thermal stimuli to initiate collagen growth. |

How is DUFLEX different and better than Thermacool™ (Thermage) and POLARIS? |
| |
Thermage uses only a single type of energy (RF), which limits it’s penetration of the skin and efficacy. DUFLEX is the only system using a synergy of dual energies (diode laser and dual RF) to penetrate the skin at several levels –broadening its effective range and treatment. Furthermore, because DUFLEX utilizes both laser and RF energy, RF levels can be set lower than Thermage thus making DUFLEX treatments less painful. |

Will DUFLEX work to tighten the body as well? |
| |
DUFLEX treatments have been effective on the body as well as face. DUFLEX Skin Tightening can be used on the tummy –resulting in a non-surgical tummy tuck, also for skin tightening around double chin area. Duflex can also be used effectively to tighten loose skin on the arms, thighs and buttocks. Used in combination of liposuction or mesotheraphy, the improvement can be dramatic –all without surgeries or downtime. |

| |
How many treatments are required? |
| |
The number of treatments needed would depend on each individual skin type, the area being treated, condition of the skin and level of skin damage. Most patients will see significant improvement following three treatments performed in three-week intervals. |

| |
Who are good candidates for DUFLEX treatments? |
| |

Unlike ablative lasers, DUFLEX works on all types of skin. Patients with reasonable expectations who are looking for a “no down-time” alternative to improve the appearance of the wrinkles, skin texture, facial laxity, body tightening, stretch marks improvements and mild acne scarring may be good candidates for this procedure.
