Pregnancies, weight gain, and weight loss take a tremendous toll on the muscles of the abdomen and the elasticity of the overlying skin. There will be some post-operative discomfort that can be controlled by medication. You will be up and around in a day or two, but you must avoid strenuous activity for three to four weeks.
